Butterflies for Change

We had a wonderful Everybody Counts assembly last week with our new friend, Bridget and her mom, Nancy.  These two ladies public speak about inclusive practices and how schools embrace all students especially those with disabilities.  They talked about students having a champion in their life- someone who can help out, support and cheer when they feel a bit down.  The evening presentation made a lasting impression on me, for certain!  Windsor School will continue our work on our children being respectful of others and finding their champion!  Thanks to the PTA and Mrs. Belmonte for bringing this outstanding program to us! If you are interested, this is the link to their information.

Wonderful Worthy Wildcats February 2011

Here are the worthy Wildcats of February!  Congrats to:

Kindergartener:  Zoe B.

First Grader:  Ryan F.

Second Grader: Alexis R.

Third Grader: Danny N.

Fourth Grader: Jack S.

Fifth Grader: Emalisa P.

These students were selected because of their random and kind acts towards others in our Windsor Community like writing thank you notes, cleaning their classrooms, asking others to play, and helping their friends with their school work.  Congratulations and keep up the wonderful work and citizenship!

I So Enjoy Being a Principal at Windsor School!

I so enjoy being the principal at Windsor School.  Today I was working with some friends on writing a book about friendship. This will take a while as we are going through all the steps of the writing process!  Also, I was able to be a part of morning announcements while observing the cub scouts do announcements for the first time!  It was fantastic!  I am one lucky principal!

More Fun Things that I Get to do as Principal!

Today during lunch Jairo, Colin, Grace, Caroline and I talked while they painted.  They love to paint.  It was a great lunch time activity enjoyed by all!  We are going to put together a survey to see what kinds of technology tools our students have and use at home.  I look forward to working with these very engaging children!
